Batch rename photos by date taken
Rename gives a batch of photos consistent names built from a pattern: the date and time they were taken (from EXIF), the camera make and model, the image size, the original name and a counter. Every new name is previewed before you download, and duplicates are flagged.
Only the names change. File contents, including metadata, are copied as they are into a ZIP.

Questions about Rename
How do I rename photos by the date they were taken?
Open Rename, add your photos and use the pattern {date}_{n}. Each file is named from its EXIF date taken plus a counter, for example 2026-08-14_001.jpg.
What if a photo has no date taken?
Then {date} and {time} use the file's last-modified date. Exifo tells you how many files have no EXIF date.
Are the files changed?
No. Only the names change; the contents are copied into the ZIP as they are.
